PRESBYTERY ad-MINISTRY

Governance, administration, sustainability, review and reform

Some Synods have built administration roles into Presbytery ministry positions, whether these are filled by ministers or others with a strong understanding of organisational life and capacity. However it is likely that every person in a presbytery ministry position  will have some part to play in the ongoing structure and re-structure of the life of the church, usually at the more complex levels of our organisation.

  • Strategic planning and implementing restructure, reform and renewal
  • Guiding the development and sharing of property and financial resources for effective mission
  • Assisting in the management of ministry and other staff
  • Connecting the life and mission of congregations with changing Presbytery, Synod, Assembly and societal expectations
  • Tackling the complexity of church Regulations to meet the changed and changing conditions of the church
  • Keeping the meetings, communications, vision and goals of Presbytery (and other councils) meaningful, relevant, effective and efficient for the main work of the Church
  • And other things...

We all want to know how we can be better as a church which is called by God to live in the world. Contact the webmaster to share your resources and ideas with the Network.
